Sugar Cinnamon Loaf

 2 packages yeast

1/4 c water

1 c milk scalded

1/2 c sugar

1 T salt  ??? 

1/4 c shortening

4-4 1/2 c flour

2 eggs

2 T butter

1/3 c sugar

1 T cinnamon

Soften yeat in warm water. Scald milk, add sugar, salt and shortening. Cool to luke warm. Add 2 c flour, mix well.  Add yeast and eggs. Beat well then add enough flour to make a soft dough, 2-2 1/2 c more. Turn onto board and knead. Let rise about 2 hours. Punch down. Divide into 2 portions. Roll out 1/4 inch thick by 20" long and 6" wide. Brush with melted butter and cinnamon sugar mix. Jelly roll style. Place in a greased pan. Rise til triple size. Bake375 fro 45-50 min.
